Silbury Hill (September 2016)

"Such time consuming projects (Silbury Hill and Avebury Henge) could only have been undertaken with the support of communities from very wide areas, and would have been inconceivable if there had been any threat of hostility.   It may not have been an era of complete peace and harmony of a truly 'golden' age, but we have certainly not experienced anything like it since.   Our Neolithic landscapes, especially the magnificent Silbury Hill, stand as testament that the Great Goddess was indeed the deity of the original British civilization."   Drews  p128
